The uniFORM Field Reporting System automates and controls all aspects of field reporting, the approval and review process, and the archive process.  Reports can be created using customized templates from either an office computer or from a mobile unit.  Reports are submitted to supervisor personnel for approval.  The report can be modified or annotated with suggested changes and returned to the original author. This process can be repeated until the report is acceptable.  The form is then sent to records for submission to the archive. Data can be exported to any of the legacy database systems such as RMS for inclusion in the historical databases.

Virtually all aspects of these functions can be configured by the agency to provide a completely customized solution to their reporting needs. For example, form templates can be created or modified by the agency and exact replicas of the current forms can be used as fill in templates. The entire approval process can be configured for who approves each person’s reports and who has archive responsibility.  Selected users can even archive a report that can be considered sealed and only opened by authorized personnel.

Even when the uniFORM Field Reporting system is not running, users can take advantage of the uniFORM control panel to monitor the flow of documents and what documents have to be reviewed.  When a document is received that required attention, an alert message box is displayed to warn the reviewer.  This process is similar to an arriving email message.
